Rob Rudewicz

Robert “Rob” Rudewicz is a retired Hartford, Connecticut Police Captain. He capped his 20-year career with his hometown police department serving as Acting Chief of Police during a tumultuous period in the department’s history. After leaving law enforcement, Rob partnered with the Connecticut Department of Corrections to manage halfway houses and work release programs with a focus on drug and alcohol abuse recovery. Throughout his life and working career, Rob strived for approval and acknowledgment and searched for that magic “bullet” of fulfillment. It wasn’t until his pancreatic cancer diagnosis in 2019 did he discover his path to peace and honest recovery. It was through his sustained recovery, writing, and shadow work that he found the necessary healing to grow. He lives in Venice, Florida with his fiancee, two dogs, and Buddy the Cat.
